PU leather is a synthetic material that’s designed to look and feel like real leather. PU stands for polyurethane, a type of plastic which is used to coat the top of leather. Some PU leather materials are 100% synthetic, which means that they’re vegan-friendly. However some use animal hide by-products, with PU coated on top.
